Fourth Grade Music

Fourth Grade students will be playing African drums throughout the school year.  They will be learning some challenging rhythm patterns from all over the world.  We will play songs that come from Africa, Jamaica and America.

A major focus in fourth grade music is on learning to read notes on the music staff.  Children will be playing the soprano recorder this year. They receive "Karate belts" as they successfully pass off songs for each level.  Our goal is to receive the black belt by the end of the school year.
