Hi, my name is Mrs. Brown and I am the STEAM teacher for all students in the BIS building. I am excited to be working with all our K-4 crew this year!
I graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University. As a life long learner, I continued on and now have my Master's Degree in Curriculum with a concentration in Technology.
This is the 18th year I have taught full time in this district. I have had the pleasure of teaching at Northwestern and Patterson Primary Schools, Highland Middle School, as well as at Blackhawk Intermediate School. I have loved teaching students in every building. I have come to the realization that if a student has been in this district for their entire educational career I have had almost every student in grades K-12, now I'll have had some students since Pre-K!
My children all graduated from Blackhawk High School and two of them currently live in the district. One of my daughters teaches kindergarten at Patterson Primary School. My other daughter is a Physican Assistant in Philadelphia. My son is an IT manager for a local company.
In my spare time I love to spend time with family, relax on the deck at home, take pictures, read, learn something new about technology, or go to the beach. I am looking forward to a great year in STEAM class!
