Whats happening in PE
As we bare through the cold winter months things are starting to heat up in PE class. The students are about to start jump rope for heart. Last year the students here at BIS raised 7,800 for the American Heart Association.  Moving  forward in PE. we will be beginning our fielding games unit which will start off with hockey skills, soccer skills, and basketball skills. Here are some things to look forward to in the coming weeks.

We start off every class period with a seven minute seven station warm up to get the blood pumping where the students are doing
Yoga
Burpees
Jump Rope
Lunges
Name Wall
Run/Job
Student Choice 

We are starting bones  in PE and  we are going to start learning the five components of health related fitness. The students will learn each component  for two week then at the end of the unit there will be a small quiz on what they learned
The five componenets the students will be learning are 
Cardiovascular Endurance
Muscular Strength
Muscular Enducance
Flexibility
Body Composition 

Each Component the student learns there will be a fun game tailored to that days lesson.
