If you have a student who will be age 5 by September 1, 2022, click the link below and provide all required information. By submitting your information, you are starting the registration process to attend kindergarten in the FALL 2022. Our staff will receive your submittal and contact you regarding next steps.

Tentative Schedule for Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration is scheduled to be held on May 10, 11, and 12 at the Blackhawk Intermediate School Building. In the beginning of April, you will have to opportunity to sign up for an appointment. At that appointment, your child will be given an assessment that will give the district more information about him/her as a learner. At the same time, our secretaries and nurses will collect all of your paperwork including proof of residency and immunizations. Appointments will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

This plan is tentative due to Covid-19. We will keep all registered families informed as more information becomes available.

Required Documentation for Enrollment

Documents Required to Enroll your Kindergarten Student

To complete the enrollment of your kindergarten student, you will need to provide ALL of the documentation listed below.

1. Student’s birth certificate
2. Student’s immunization records
**Students will not start classes until immunization records are obtained.*

3. Parent/Guardian driver’s license

4. Parent/Guardian proof of residency (Items from both A and B must be provided)

The following official items with correct name and address are required.

A. Lease OR Mortgage Statement / Home Purchase Contract

** Lease must be signed by parent/guardian and landlord and show dates of occupancy.

** Mortgage documents must show parent/guardian name(s) and address.

B. Current utility bill at address (electric, gas, or water bills only).

5. Custody papers (if apply)

Parents NEW to the District with no SKYWARD login

If you are new to the district and do not have an existing SKYWARD login and password, you will need to request access to the new student online enrollment portal. Follow the steps in the tutorial you received to complete this process.

If you are the parent of a student currently enrolled at Blackhawk, you have been issued a SKYWARD login and password. Use these credentials to login to the SKYWARD Family Access Portal.
