Library/Media Center

The Blackhawk School District Library/Media Centers are the primary sources for information and curriculum support district-wide.  The school library/media center functions as the information center for all students by providing access to full range of resources, in both traditional and electronic format. The Blackhawk High School Library embodies the evolving role of school libraries in the digital age. We empower our students to become critical thinkers and ethical researchers by teaching them how to evaluate information, use the internet and digital tools responsibly, and engage with emerging technologies.

In addition to supporting academic growth, we promote reading for pleasure and offer a diverse collection that reflects our students' interests, identities, and imaginations. Our library space is inclusive and welcoming, designed to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
