July 29 Meeting 
The Blackhawk Board of School Directors will hold a Special Meeting on July 29, 2021, 7:00PM in the High School Library which will include voting action on the High School Kitchen repair project. Due to the timeline of scheduling this meeting, participants are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom. Should you want to attend via Zoom, please sign up HERE
August 4 Meeting
The Blackhawk Board of School Directors will hold a public meeting regarding the Blackhawk School District Health and Safety Plan for the 21-22 school year at Highland Middle School on August 4th, 2021 at 5:30PM in the LGI Room.  Due to the timeline of scheduling this meeting, participants are welcome to attend in person or via Zoom; however, the Focus Group style setting with small and large group discussion may lend itself to in person attendance. 
If you are attending in person, we kindly ask that you RSVP for the Health and Safety Meeting by clicking HERE so we can plan for seating and materials. The RSVP will close on Monday, August 2 at 4:00 p.m. However, all are welcome to attend, even without an RSVP.

Summer Feeding will begin on Tuesday, July 6th
 and run through Thursday, July 29th. 
Week 1 is Tuesday July 6th to Friday July 9th
Week 2 is Monday July 12th to Thursday July 15th
Week 3 is Monday July 19th to Thursday July 22nd
Week 4 is Monday July 26th to Thursday July 29th 
Meals will be available for pickup daily
 at BIS at 10:45am in the Bus Lane in the rear of the building.
If you already registered for meals through the previous survey, 
you can start pickups on Tuesday, July 6th.

If your child is registered for Summer School, you will AUTOMATICALLY receive the meals there.  Meals will be distributed to all students upon dismissal each day.

If you haven't already signed up for meals and your child is NOT attending Summer School BUT you still would like meals,

COVID-19 relief packages recently passed by the United States Congress contain numerous benefits for families financially impacted by the pandemic. Some of these benefits are available to students who are eligible for free or reduced-priced school meals. If you believe your school-aged child(ren) may qualify for free or reduced-price meals this school year and have not yet submitted the application for free or reduced-price meals to the school, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. A copy of the application can be found on the district website in the LUNCH MENU section. The application then will be used to determine which benefits your child(ren) and/or household may be eligible to receive. Please be aware that applying for free or reduced price meals will not impact meals that your child(ren) currently receives through the school. Meals are currently FREE TO ALL STUDENTS for the remainder of the 20-21 school year.

All student account balances automatically carryover into the next school year. If you child is graduating and you would like a refund or to transfer the balance to a sibling’s account please contact the Food Service Office at 724-846-6600 ext. 1016 or ext. 2011 ask for Cherie or Shelley.
