Art Classes Make Ornaments

Students in Mrs. Effert's K-2 and 5 classes, and Miss Kunkel's art classes made ornaments for Chippewa Township's Christmas celebration this weekend. They will be placed on trees and sold for a few dollars. The township paid for supplies. All proceeds will be donated to the BIS Cougar Care Fund. Any remaining ornaments will be donated to Chippewa nursing homes.

It's come to our attention today (10/19) that a former substitute teacher and track (cross country) coach was charged with multiple counts related to child pornography. We have been advised by law enforcement that none of these charges involve Blackhawk School District, its students, or its staff.
