PLEASE NOTE: We have now completed the paper pages available at home. Today's math lessons are available in Think Central. You can sign-in to do both videos and the personal trainer. There are links to the videos if it is easier for you! You can also access the coordinating math pages on-line but it is not required.

Complete the following login fields by using the dropdown boxes for each choice.   

  • Country: United States 
  • State:  Pennsylvania 
  • District:  Blackhawk School District, Beaver Falls 15010 
  • School: Patterson Primary School, Beaver Falls 15010
  • Username: Type in the username provided by your teacher 
  • Password: Type in the password provided by your teacher (Letters for this must be lowercase) 
  • Click on “Things To Do” 
  • Select “Lesson 12.1” from the assignments list to complete the activity.   

 

4. OPTIONAL/EXTRA PRACTICEYou are welcome to check out today’s Lesson 12.1 pages and HW as an optional activity, but please do not feel the need to print the pages out to complete.** Pages 687-692

Reading:

1. Raz-Kids 

  • Sign in using the information provided by your teacher.  
  • Read at least two stories of your choosing. Complete the quiz at the end of the story.  

*Remember, kindergarten teachers will be monitoring Raz-Kids for a reading comprehension grade.

Writing:

Think back to the Scholastic Reader on Tuesday in which the animals are eating their plant lunch. In your agenda on the appropriate dateanswer one of the prompts below. 

What would you like for lunch today? 

What did you have for lunch today? 

Make sure your sentence is/has: 

  • complete 
  • capital letter 
  • punctuation 
  • finger spaces 
  • high frequency words/sight words spelled correctly 
  • sound out unknown words (remember to stretch those words out so you can hear all the sounds) 

If you do not have your agenda, you can write on a blank piece of paper. 

 

SS/Science:

1.Read and discuss the article in Time for Kids called Welcome to Washington, DC 

2.Find Washington, DC on a map of the United States of America.  

Optional- use materials in your home to build/construct a model of the Washington Monument. Send a picture to your teacher.
