Title I Program

Extended Day Invitation

April 28, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have enjoyed serving your child through the Title I Program for the 2016-2017 school year. We take pride in the work we have accomplished with your child, however, we have had to cancel your child’s supplemental instruction approximately 12 times this school year. If we did not have a substitute teacher for a Title I teacher, we had to cancel Title I services for half of the students.

We want to make that up to your child by offering the Title I Extended Day Program: six (6) one-hour Title I sessions after school, from 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM on May 17-May 19 and May 22 – May 24, 2017 at Northwestern Primary School at BIS. Sessions during the school day are 30-minutes long, by offering 6 one-hour session, your child will be receiving the 12 sessions s/he missed!

We will provide a snack each day and a bus to take them home starting at 4:45 PM!

Please complete the permission slip below with your address and phone number. Please send the completed form to school with your child. The Title I teachers will collect the forms. The forms are due by Thursday, May 4, 2017 to secure your child’s participation in the program.

Call me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing your child with us for the Extended Day Program! Thank you for working with us to provide your child with Title I services.
