Mrs. Desselle provides speech and language support at Blackhawk Intermediate School (grades 4, 5, and PRIDE), Highland Middle School, and Blackhawk High School.  In speech and language support, student goals are aligned to Pennsylvania’s Core Standards to help students achieve to their potential in the areas of speaking, writing, listening, and reading to facilitate communicative competence as well as academic and social success.

Please contact Mrs. Desselle if you feel that your child has a need to be evaluated in any of the following areas: articulation (production of speech sounds), receptive/expressive language (expressing thoughts and understanding language), pragmatics (social language), or fluency (rhythm of speech).


Progress Reports-


As the 1st nine weeks comes to an end, please note that for students who receive speech/language support, progress reports are distributed at report card time.  If your child receives learning support in addition to speech/language support, the speech/language progress report will be included with the updated progress from the learning support teacher.
